Drugstore Makeup Dupes!
I have an exciting post for you all today. I have rummaged through my makeup collection and I have found some dupes. These are some of my favourite products in my collection and I really wanted to share these brilliant dupes with you so lets jump in!
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
First we have two dupes for one high end product. These are the closest dupe I have been able to find for Lime Crime Velvetine in the shade 'Cashmere' ($20). I have the P.S Love Long Last Matte lipstick in the shade 'Whisper' (£2.50) and the Essence Long Lasting Nude lipstick in the shade '03 Come Naturally' (£2.30). The difference between these shades is the P.S Love one is a matte formula like 'Cashmere' but they are both pretty similar in colour. They are a cool toned, pink/mauve nude shade, like 'Cashmere'. I find this shade pretty hard to find and it is one of my favourite coloured nudes. As you can see, both of the lipsticks are very cost effective and they are both really good quality.
Next we have the Collection Eyes Uncovered palette in the shade 'Nude Palette' (£2.99). This is a nice alternative to the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette (£23). One difference which does not make it an exact dupe is that some shades in the Collection palette are shimmery whereas all the shades in the Urban Decay one are matte. Other than that, it is a good dupe and really great for beginners and for travelling because it is so versatile.
Next we have the Makeup Revolution Radience palette (£8) which is a dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette (£56). This gives such a gorgeous, natural glow which would look great on so many skin tones as there are different shades. This looks great on the highlight areas and, because it is so subtle, a more intense highlight can be added to the cheek bones. The Makeup Revolution is much cheaper than the Hourglass one so I would definitely recommend giving this one a try.
Now we have the Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the shade '30' (£5.49) which I have found to be a dupe of the Mac lipstick in the shade 'Rebel' (£15.50). It is that beautiful burgundy, berry red shade which is beautiful for autumn and winter. The formula on the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks is brilliant and long lasting the the colour pay off is great.
We now have one of my absolute favourite products. These are the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 1 & 2 palettes (£6.99 each) which are dupes of the Lorac Pro palettes ($44 each). The Makeup Revolution palettes have the same shades and the same set up as the Lorac palettes with the matte shades on the top row and shimmers on the bottom. Also, just like the Lorac palettes, the 1 is a warm tone shade range and the 2 is the cool toned palette. The pigmentation on these shadows is incredible and the staying power is great.
Next we have the Mac Pro Palette large/duo (£10) which is a dupe for the Z-Palette (£15.95). Although there is not a big price different, the Mac one is slightly cheaper and has two sections. I did not know Mac did an empty, magnetic palette and, as you can see, I have already filled mine. You would be able to fit many shadows in here. I have 24 shadows in mine and these are a mixture of Freedom Professional and MUA shadows which are quite large. This Mac palette is brilliant and makes storing my single shadows in.
Next is one of my favourite finds. I found these on Amazon when browsing brushes and these are the Real Metal Techniques 7 pack brush set (£7.15) which are dupes of the Real Techniques Bold Metals Brushes (various prices). These brushes are lovely and soft and they wash really well. There are a nice collection for different areas of the face.
Next we have the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Blush, Bronze and Brighten palettes (£4 each) which I found to be dupes of the Urban Decay Naked Flushed palettes (£23.50). The Makeup Revolution ones come in a range of shades and each product is pigmented beautifully. Two thing I prefer about the Makeup Revolution ones is that all the products are equally sized and that each individual product comes in their own pans. With the Urban Decay one, all the colours are in blocks in the same pan which can mean more mixing of the colours and the bronzer is also much bigger than the blush and highlight. I love the quality of these and they are so convenient to travel with because it has everything in!
Next we have one of my favourite ever products. These are the Maybelline Color Tattoos (£4.99 each) and these are dupes for the Mac Paint pots (£16 each). I absolutely love these! As you can see, I have many colours and they are so pigmented and they last all day. I love to use these on their own and also as eyeshadow bases because the shadow just sticks to them brilliantly.
Next we have the Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts (£4.99). Mine is in the shade 'Blushing Heart' but they do quite a few shades. These are dupes of the Too Faced Sweetheart blushes (£24). They are a baked blush with a hint of shimmer in there for a really pretty glow and they are really easy to work with and blend. I like to mix all three of the shades together but you could easily just pick up one shade. These apply effortlessly and look stunning. I also love the packaging, it's so cute!! But they are quite bulky because they are cardboard but they are pretty big and they come with a lot of product!
Now we have the Makeup Revolution New-trals vs Neutrals palette (£6.99) which is a dupe of the Lime Crime Venus palette (£22.25). The Makeup Revolution palette includes more shades but, like the Venus palette, it includes the red and burnt orange shades. This is a beautiful palette and it is unlike any palette in my collection because of the red shades. These look brilliant in the outer corner or in the crease and add a little something different. I also love that it has some typical neutral shades in there too. As always, the pigmentation is amazing on this and they blend really beautifully.
Next are the MUA Undressed palettes (£4 each) which are dupes of the Urban Decay Naked 1 & 2 palettes (£38.50 each). The Undressed palette (black casing) is the Naked 1 dupe and the Undressed Me Too (white casing) is a dupe of the Naked 2. These palettes have been very well loved and the pigmentation and blendability of these are incredible. MUA have some of the best palettes on the high street and these are some of my favourite palettes. These are brilliant for beginners because they are really easy to work with.
Next is the Collection Gorgeous Glow (£4.19) which is a dupe of the Bobbi Brown Simmer Brick (£33). This is a gorgeous rose gold glow which can be used as a blush or highlight. I like to use a little as a highlight but this would also look gorgeous on the eyes. This would be gorgeous being used in the individual colour strips or swirling all together. I love the glow and rose gold colour and this would look amazing in summer for catching the light.
We now have the MUA Velvet Lip Lacquer in the shade Potency (£3) which is a dupe of Lime Crime Velvetine in the shade Black Velvet ($20). The line of Velvet Lip Lacquers are dupes for the Velvetines but this is one of the only shades that matches directly. These are the liquid to matte lipstick and they last a really long time. I have many shades of these and I love them. They're so easy to wear and the colour is really intense.
Now we have this makeup brush cleaner from Amazon. This is a dupe for the Makeup Revolution Pro Cleanse Brush Tool cleaner (£4.99). For mine, I paid £1.39. It's is, I'm guessing, silicone and it fits on two fingers to hold it in place. It cleans brushes really well! I would say this is better for smaller brushes as big brushes can be harder to clean on this but you still can. This has made cleaning my brushes much easier and it really gets in there to deep clean. In case anybody was wondering what I use to clean my brushes, I use baby shampoo and it works brilliantly.
Next we have one of my very favourite products. This is the Freedom Duo Brow Powder (£4) which is a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo (£17). They look identical! I love that these come with 2 shades as it makes it easy to find your ideal brow colour. I use a mix of both for my brows and it looks great, it's a very good match for my brows. These are super easy to work with and nice and natural.
Next is Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro lipstick in the shade 'Liberty Matte' (£2.49) which is a dupe for MAC's lipstick in 'Heroine' (£15.50). The Makeup Revolution lipstick comes in a matte or satin finish, depending on what you like and I think that it is a great thing because some people don't like the other finish. This is a pure purple and it is not too light and not too dark. This is my favourite purple lipstick, and I love purple a lot!.
This is one of my absolute favourites! These are the Makeup Revolution- I Heart Makeup palettes. There is 'I Heart Chocolate' (left) and 'Salted Caramel' (right) (£7.99 each). These are dupes of the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and Semi-Sweet Chocolate palettes (£39 each). The colours are pretty much identical to the Too Faced one and these also smell of chocolate which is lovely. I love these shadows because they are really pigmented and blendable and they are just really lovely palettes!
Now we have the Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour palette (£8) (comes in powder or cream) and this is a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit (£39). The Makeup Revolution one has a baked highlighter and baked bronzer in which the Anastasia Beverly Hills doesn't have but the contour shades are the same. This palette is my favourite contour product I've ever used and it's pigmented and really easy to blend! It's absolutely brilliant for the price and I would highly recommend this to everyone!
Next up we have the Sleek blush in the shade 'Rose Gold' (£4.49) which I have found to be a dupe for Nars blush in the shade 'Orgasm' (£23). The packaging on the Sleek products is also very similar to Nars which I like because it's nice and compact. I would say, when looking at photos, the Sleek one is a little more gold in tone and almost peachier compared to the Nars one but they are both that beautiful rose shade with gold shimmer. I love wearing this blush in the summer time because it catches light beautifully and looks great for the hotter months.
And last but not least, the last dupe I have found is the Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro lipstick in the shade 'Looking Ahead' (£2.49) which looks quite similar to Mac's 'Velvet Teddy' (£15.50). Although this is not an exact dupe, the colours are quite similar with more of a brown toned nude. I would say the Makeup Revolution one is a little more pink toned and it is not a matte finish compared to the Mac one. But this, to me, it a pretty close match! As mentioned above, the formula on the Iconic Pro lipsticks is fantastic and they are some of my favourite lipsticks in the collection.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
They're all the dupes I have! I have really enjoyed finding these and I love reading dupes post and watching dupes videos. I hope you have enjoyed this and let me know what dupes you have found or if you love any of the products mentioned or their expensive twin.
Until next time, happy reading. Bye.
