Review- Maybelline Color Tattoo's

By 19:39:00

Hello everyone!
Well today I have a review for you all and I am super excited about this one. I am going to be reviewing the Maybelline Color Tattoo's. I first got one of these at October time (round about) and I loved it so I went out and bought three more while there was an offer on Maybelline.
So like I said, I have four of the Color Tattoo's. For starters, I love the packaging and look of these because they look really professional but also simple. It shows the colour through the glass jar and it is obviously true to the colour. With these though, you have to make sure that the lid is on tight because they can become dry as they are a cream shadow. When I swatched these in some of the shops before buying, they were really dry and crumbly which didn't make me want to buy them. But when I swatched them in Superdrug, the testers were well covered and had the lids on and I saw and felt that they were really nicely pigmented and creamy.

The very first shade I picked up was 70-Metallic Pomegranate. This is a lovely redish/purple shade. The name is very relevant to the colour because it is a Pomegranate colour which I adore. This was my favourite shade that I saw that was available and I absolutely love this. It is really metallic and shimmery which is gorgeous. The pigmentation is really good and that's one thing I love most about this product. I also love how nicely this applies and its really easily buildable so that if you want to use it as part of a Smokey eye or to make it really dark as a base. This is also really blend-able and easy and quick to blend out. This is really nice to put in the centre of the lid and blend out all across the eye so that it can be a beautiful day look and it looks as if you have put a lot of effort into doing your eye make up when really you have just swiped this on and blended. When using this as a day look and it is blended out, the shimmer isn't as strong as if would be if you piled on the colour for a Smokey eye.

This shade is 05- Eternal Gold. As the name suggests, this is a lovely gold shade and it is the perfect gold. Like the other, the formulation is amazing and the pigmentation is really strong. It is easier to work with for day time because it is lighter and easier to blend out but it is gorgeous for night time because it is so shimmery and gold that it stands out. It is also easy to layer up if you want the colour really strong and vibrant. Again, this glides beautifully onto the lid and is easy to blend out.

This shade is 40- permanent Taupe. This shade is a grey/brown shade but this one is different from the others because it is a matte one which I love because it is much more suited to a day time eye look. Like the others, this one can be worked will in a day look or a night look. I think this one is much more versatile because it is a matte shade and that it is a very neutral colour which a lot of people love. I am a sucker for naturals because they can look glamorous and subtle.

The last shade I picked up was On and On Bronze. This particular shade is a big favourite with many people and it certainly is for me. This is my favourite shade of them all. This works so well for many, many things. This can beautiful just on its own for a day look with lots of blending but it can also look amazing as part of a darker, more Smokey look for night. It is so versatile in many ways and that what I love most about this shade.

Overall, these eye shadows are incredible. I have no idea why I waited so long to get them! These can work for a lot of people as the colour range is really good. Most of them are shimmery and they have some really bright colours like blues and bright gold's but they have a nice range of natural colours which I picked. I would recommend these to anyone and I bought one for my best friends birthday and she loves it too.
