Review- MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlight

By 15:36:00

Hi everyone!

I have another review for you today and I feel like I've done reviews for so long and I feel like doing something a little different so I will try and think of something good to do and I will post for you all.

So, lets get into the review. I am going to be reviewing MUA's Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlight. As you may know already, MUA is my favourite make up brand for so many reasons. (I think I might do my MUA collection in a post for you if you are interested). A lot of their products are brilliant and they are super affordable. The only thing bad about MUA is that you can only get it at Superdrug or online on their website. But because I am mostly a superdrug shopper, it is pretty good for me.

This is what it looks like. The packaging is really nice and professional looking because it is a nice compact and it has see through plastic which makes it very easy to see the product. I think the whole range of the Undress Your Skin range looks really professional and it looks more pricey than it actually is which I love. I had never seen this in shops until I saw it in a Superdrug that I was looking in and it was the last one left so I picked it up straight away without any hesitation because I had heard so much about this, especially on MUA's Facebook page/

So, as you can see, the pattern of the actual highlight within the compact is very pretty. I almost looks like a quilt or waves or something. It just looks really swirly. The look of it makes it very appealing because when something looks pretty, it makes people want to know what it is and buy it.

The product is a powder compact type product. As you can see, it is very shimmery and beautiful. It looks very duo-toned in real life which isn't showing well on the picture. It has pink shimmer running through it but it is beige too so its a bit of both. When it is swatched in real life, it looks very pink toned but it adds a really pretty, natural glow to the highlighting areas of the face.

As you can see on the photo, it looks really shimmery and it looks very blended but I didn't need to blend it to look like this. Also, on the photo's, it looks very silvery but it isn't in real life. When directly put onto the skin when using your finger, it looks very pigmented but when is is applied onto a brush (which I always do), it's not as in-your-face. I also have to swirl the brush around a few times so then I actually get some product onto the brush and then onto my face. This is the perfect highlight for a daytime look rather than night time because it is much more natural and easy to blend and work with. You could use this on its own for a daytime subtle look or, what I like to do, is add a bit of illuminating foundation onto the key highlighting area's while I am doing my face and with this over the top when I do my cheeks and contouring, it just makes your glow very natural and beautiful.

The only drawback to this product is that when applied onto a brush, it isn't super pigmented but because there is enough product in here to last quite a while, it's okay. I would definitely purchase this again if it runs out. But for right now, I have a lot left. I really do love this and for people that are new to the whole contouring, blush and highlighting routine, this is very good because it just adds a beautiful glow and shimmer but its not too pigmented that it needs loads of blending. This really is one of the stand out products from MUA and I use this in every make up look I do. I would recommend this to anyone, so if I was you, I would definitely give this a try.
