Best Beauty Products of 2013

By 16:40:00

Hi everyone!
So I have a post that's a little different today and it is very late so apologies for that but better late than never I guess. I am doing My Top 15 Beauty Products of 2013. This is my personal opinion of these products and these are my favourites of the year. These products have really stood out to me in 2013 and I have been really impressed with them. (Just a note, these are not really in any particular order). So, lets jump right in.

This is my smallest make up bag because it is originally a wash bag but I love this one. It is a Ted Baker one with a beautiful floral print. (£10- Boots)

So the first product is my all time favourite eye shadow palette. This is the MUA Undress Me Too palette. This is a dupe for the Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay. This is a palette of all natural colours and they are all very flattering. I love using the first colour as a base for my proper eye shadow because it colour corrects a bit before hand. I am obsessed with this palette and I use it nearly every time I do my make up. This is definitely high quality and for the price it is really amazing. I cannot rave more about this product because it really is amazing. It is a great dupe for the Naked 2 palette but it is so much cheaper. I have recommended this to a couple of friends and they really like it too. (£4- MUA Store & Superdrug)

The next product is Apocalips by Rimmel London. These are lip lacquers and these were the first ones I owned. I was tempted to own these because I had heard quite a few people rave about these and they did not disappoint. I got the red one which is Big Bang and a Apocaliptic which is a lovely berry pink. These are highly pigmented and they last a long time. They don't feel very drying on the lips and I just love the formulation of these. (£6.49 each- Boots or Superdrug)

So 2013 brought the launch of Baby Lips to the UK and I was very excited about them. Because a lot of people in America raved about these, I just couldn't wait to get my hands on some. I love these because they have a range of tinted ones and colourless ones. I love them both equally because the colourless ones they are very hydrating. My favourite of them all is the Cherry Me one (the orange tube with the hot pink writing) because it is tinted pink but it smells lovely. The formulation is great and they are very easy to just pop in your bag and take them wherever you go. (£2.99 each- Boots & Superdrug)

The next product is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's. I now have 5 shades they are On and On Bronze, Metallic Pomegranate, Eternal Gold, Permanent Taupe and Eternal Pink (not shown on the photo). I seriously love these. They are cream eye shadows and they apply so beautifully and they blend so smoothly. The shade range is very good because they have a nice mix of naturals and bright shades. My favourite of the shades is On and On Bronze because it is very natural and it can be used for a lot of different looks. I have used these is practically every look I have done recently. I can't love these any more that I do because they really are a fantastic product. I got one for my friend for her birthday and she loves it too and I have recommended these to a few other and now to you! Well worth the price for the quality of the product. (£4.99 each- Superdrug & Boots)

The next product is a raved about product in the UK YouTube beauty world and I love this so much too. It is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer (sorry that the label has rubbed off but it's been well used). My shade is Fair 1 as I have pale skin but the shade range is really good. I think that they should make more shades so everyone can find one to suit their skin tone but with blending, I think the shades can work. I love how high coverage this is and it works wonders on dark circles under the eye. This has a lovely feel and it doesn't feel cakey at all when it is on the face. Collection really made an outstanding product here and I don't think I could ever go back to my previous concealer. (£4.19- Superdrug & Boots)

The next products are also from Collection. These are the lipsticks from the Gothic Glam collection the they brought out in 2013. There are three shades but I only got two (I still want the third one though). I got shades 1, Seduction and 3, Revenge. These are dark, vampy colours and they look really flattering. Seduction is the lighter of the shades as it is a lovely pinky, red shade and Revenge is a lovely, dark burgundy shade which I am obsessed with. They have also brought out nail varnishes in this collection which are lovely but the lipsticks are the best. I think these would look fabulous on any skin tone but if dark colours are not your thing then these definitely not for you. The formulation is great and the pigmentation is really nice. They apply nicely and creamy. (£2.99- Superdrug & Boots)

The next product is my go to eye liner. This is the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in Black. I have been using this liner for some time now and I absolutely love it. It is a lovely dark black and because it is in a felt tip form, it is super easy to apply. I have had a lot of practice in doing winged liner and this makes it super easy. It applies smoothly and dark and it stays really well. I will continue to use this because I have been using it for a long time and I just love how easy this is to use. I love the packaging as well because it is very simple. They also do other colours like purple and teal shades so it could be easy to find a shade to suit your eye colour. I would recommend this to anyone, especially beginners to liquid liner because this is great to practice with. (£2.99- Superdrug & Boots)

The next product is Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in Medium Brown. This is super amazing. I bought this towards the end of the year but as soon as I used it for the first time, I instantly loved it. For a start, the colour matches my eyebrows so well and it makes filling them in really easy. When I use this, I don't fill them in before hand because I am happy with my eyebrows and I just want to darken them up a bit. This just sets the eyebrows in place all day and it looks like a mascara with the brush. It looks very natural when it is on the brows and I just love this. This is the best product I have ever used on my eyebrows and I am very glad I tried it. (£4.99- Superdrug & Boots)

The next product I picked up at the same time as the Brow Drama. This is the Sleek Blush in the shade Rose Gold. I had heard some great things about this product and I really wanted to try it. It is a beautiful pink shade with gold shimmer in it. It can be used as little bit of a highlight in with your blush. It is more natural on the cheeks than the other shades because the others are super, super pigmented. This is a lovely natural shade that it pigmented but not too over the top. This looks great in either a night time or day time look. This will look beautiful when you are wearing a little reflex of gold on the eye lids too. This is a beautiful product and the packaging is great. For the price, it is an amazing product and you get a really good amount of blush in it. (£4.49- Superdrug)

The next product I bought was the MUA Nail Polish in the shade Pistachio Ice Cream. I really wanted a mint coloured nail polish and I didn't want to pay so much money for the Essie one (Mint Candy Apple) so I picked up this one. I wasn't expecting much as it was so cheap but MUA have done it again! This is amazing. I applies really smoothly and quite opaque and it only takes two coats to get it really opaque. This is one of my all time favourite nail polishes and this is such a beautiful shade. It is perfect shade for summer but I wear whatever colour I want any time of the year. The price is great and the shade range is pretty good. I also love the packaging and name of this polish. The only down side about this product is the size because you don't get too much but for £1, you won't spend a lot of money getting a new one. An amazing nail polish and an amazing price.
(£1- Superdrug and MUA Store)

The next product was a product I wasn't really expecting to buy at all. This is the Look Beauty Cheeky Trio in the shade Peach Melba. (Look is a weekly fashion magazine in the UK). I don't usually go for peach shades of blush because I love pinks but this really suits my skin tone nicely. This is the all-in-one cheek palette. I love how on the back of the packaging, it tells you how to use the products and where to put them which is really great for beginners. That's not the best thing about this product, the pigmentation is incredible! They are so strong and bright. The bronzer is really pigmented so I use a small amount and really blend it out so it don't have a solid line there. The blush is gorgeous for summer time as it is a beautiful peach colour. It has a hint of shimmer in it which I like because it just makes the cheeks look radiant, especially along side the highlighter. The highlighter is a beautiful silvery/white shade and I really like that as I am not a fan of the gold toned ones. The only bad thing about it is that it has quite a lot of shimmer in it but with a lot of blending, this looks beautiful. This is my go to palette for my cheeks and I love it.
(£8- Superdrug & Look beauty [currently on sale])

The next product is the Bubblegum Lip Scrub from Lush. This was quite pricey for me but my lips were really dry and chapped. I love Lush products so much but I only really used the bath bombs from there but I love this. It smells the same as the Snow Fairy shower gel from there so that's what really pushed me over the edge to buy it. It really helps with my chapped lips and it gets the blood circulating in the lips. The instructions are very easy to follow and you can just lick it off after you have scrubbed away and it tastes delicious. If you don't love sweet smelling/tasting things, then this really isn't for you but I love that stuff. But the main thing about this product is what it does for the lips. They offer other flavours like Popcorn and Chocolate Mint but I love this one. I would highly recommend this if you have dry and chapped lips because it works really well.
(£5.50- Lush)

The next product is the Supermodel Lengthening Mascara from FashionistA. (FashionistA is an MUA brand but it is more expensive.). I picked this up because I needed a new mascara and this was on sale for ridiculously cheap. I have never really tried a lengthening mascara because  I mostly stick to volume mascaras so I was excited to try this. This is really black which I love and once the lashes have been curled it makes the lashes really long and it defines the eyes lovely. This is the perfect day time mascara because it doesn't make the lashes super thick and it is more subtle. The price is great for the product inside and I really like it.
(No longer available)

The next product is the MUA Matte Palette. I am really glad that MUA brought out a matte palette because they do a lot of shimmer shades. It is a natural matte palette which makes it perfect for day time looks and I love the shade range. They range from warm tones to a few cold toned shades. The looks beautiful on the lids and the pigmentation is great. I love how it doesn't look like the other MUA palette because these ones are square where as the others are circular. I really love this palette and I love reaching for it and using it for so many different things and looks.
(£4- MUA Store and Superdrug)

The very last product is the Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid foundation in the shade Light Porcelain 004. This is my go to foundation as I always use liquid because it works better for me and I had used the dream matte mouse before and I really like that but I love this more. It applies lovely and the coverage is medium which I like because it gives some cover but it's not too heavy or cakey on the skin. The shade matches my skin perfectly and it is very easily bendable which makes it very easy to work with. I always use this foundation and it leaves a lovely finish on the skin. It is more of a matte finish which I really like. I use this foundation for my make up every time and I really love it.
(£7.99- Superdrug)

So, I know it is super late into the year but there are my 2013 favourite beauty products. I hope you it enjoyed it. Bye :)
