Review- Collection's Lasting Perfection foundation

By 19:45:00

Hi everyone!
I have a review for you all today. Sorry for the lack of blogging recently because I have been super busy with university work but I have more free time now. I have a few life posts to do which will hopefully be up soon. I can't wait for you to see those!
So on with the review. I am going to be reviewing Collection's Lasting Perfection foundation. I must admit, I was expecting this to be as amazing as the concealer because the concealed is very, very good.

The lightest shade that I could get was Ivory 2. This looked nice in the shop and blended really nice into my skin tone. But I tried it at home with natural light and it looked too dark. I tried blending it out a lot but nothing made it look right on my skin.

Onto the coverage. I really don't like to coverage. It is horrible. It is really cakey and heavy and unflattering. As I have dry skin, it highlighted every dry patch on my face which I obviously don't want. I put it on and I had to take it off again because the coverage is so bad. I find it to look extra cakey under a setting powder whereas my Maybelline Dream Satin foundation doesn't do that and it looks more natural.

As you can see from the photo, it is too dark and that is mostly my fault to be fair. You can probably see from the photo that it has highlighted any dints, fine lines and dry spots on my hand which is horrible because no one wants to wear a foundation that makes their face look like that.

I also find the shade range to be horrible. It is very limited. They only have around 5 or 6 shades in the collection. They do not have a shade to match everyone compared to other make up brands. If you have a darker skin tone, you will not find a shade in this collection which is very unsatisfactory. I would go for a brand like Maybelline because they have an amazing shade range and very impressive foundations.

The only good thing I like about this is the packaging. I think that packaging looks really great with the frosted glass and the black writing. But to me, I feel like they have put all their money and effort into the packaging and not into the foundation. I am not a person that will buy something for the packaging because to me, something can have the ugliest packaging in the world but is an amazing product them I don't care what it looks like.

Overall, I really hate this foundation and I would definitely not recommended this to anyone I know. I think this could work for people with immaculate, flawless skin but nearly any of us have absolutely flawless skin, I definitely don't. Compared to the concealer, this is such a huge disappointment and they could have done better with this.
