Nail Tutorial!

By 14:41:00

Hi everybody!
So, I haven't blogged in a few days but I thought I'd come back with something new and I really hope you all enjoy it. I will try to make the instructions for this as clear and easy to follow but, trust me, it's really simple!

So, lets just jump right in. I will be showing you how to do a rainbow leopard nail design. I love this and I have had it on my nails for a while. But what is good about it is that you can do other colours for the spots or the outlines or on the nail so you can make it to your favourite colours. Now, lets get started!

First of all you are going to need...
>A Base colour, a light colour is best
>The colours of the rainbow
>A black polish
>A top coat
>A hair grip (or bobby pin)
>Dotting tools (If you don't have these, you can use the other end of the bobby pin)
>A piece of paper
These are what I used. (From left to right)... Collection 2000 2 in 1 Top Coat, George at Asda in Natural White, Rimmel London Lasting Finish in 030 Double Decker Red, Nails Inc in Porchester Place, Asda Polish in Yellow 29, Barry M polish from a magazine in a Mint, Nails Supreme Nail art in a electric blue and Collection Lasting Colour in 1 Liquorice.

Step 1- Start by painting your nails in your base colour. I've chosen a white but any colour will do. (A light colour works best but it all depends on your taste). To make sure that your coverage is opaque, two or 3 coats is best and wait for them to try completely. You can add a base coat before you paint them white to protect your nails but you don't have to but it is best.

Step 2- Take your dotting tool. (I've done a review of my set). I am using the white one with the thicker end instead of the really thin one. Put your polish on a sheet of paper but not too much because you don't need too much from the polishes. Also, at this stage stretch out the bobby pin so that you don't ruin your nails when it comes to using it.

Step 3- Take your fist colour and start dotting it onto the nail. I used the red on the thumb and went in order to the pinkey. I like to structure my dots but you don't have to, you can do it random. Don't do them too close together because you will need to leave room for the black.
This is how I like to place the dots. Do this for every colour and nail until they all have dots. Leave some time for drying.

Step 4- Take the bobby pin and dip it in the black polish. You will also need to place some black polish on the paper too. Then start making 'C' shapes and brackets around the dots. They don't have to be perfect because it isn't supposed to look really neat.
Make the shape similar to the photo but not perfect because you want it to be unique and individual. Do that for all of the dots in the C shapes and the brackets. I tend to do more C shapes but I try to even it out.

Step 5- Once all the shapes are done, add random dots around the nail and in the empty spaces with the bobby pin.

Step 6- Wait for that to dry and then apply a top coat. That's it, done!

I hope you liked this tutorial and try it out for yourselves. I love this design and can be created easily over and over again.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy and try it for yourself.
Bye!!
