Review- Makeup Revolution 'Sugar and Spice' Blush Palette!
Hi everyone!
I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas! So, I've been needing to do this review for a while now so I'm getting it done now!
I am reviewing the Makeup Revolution Blush Palette in 'Sugar and Spice'. On their website, they have many different blush palettes and they have just added more, which all look beautiful.
Just a quick thing, many of the reviews coming up will be Makeup Revolution because I have many things from them that are new and I haven't yet reviewed so keep and eye out for those but to cut down the amount of reviews I do from them, I am going to pair a couple of those together as they are similar.
Let's jump into this review then!
So here is the front of the packaging. As you can see, it is very shiny and easy to get your finger prints on but I love the look of the packaging because it is so simple but effective. It's just plain black with the gold logo and it just gets to the point and I like that because it doesn't need to be fancy.
So, here are the colours inside and it is much more of a pink shade palette. It also comes with a big mirror so this is ideal to travel with as you have many options and a mirror there for when you need it which is a lovely touch. It includes 2 contour shades (which I think would be nice a blushes too), 4 different pink shades, a baked blush and a highlighter which complements the shades in the palette perfectly. The sizes of the products are very good and there's a blush that compliments the looks that you create. These would also work as eye shadows (which I have done in the past).
As you can see, the shade range is brilliant. There's a lovely light coral/pink which I find looks lovely on pale skin tones (the blush to the left of the baked blush). There's a lovely, darker cranberry which I really love. I do have to say that my favourite blush in this palette is the baked blush because It's lovely and natural.
Here are the swatches of the blushes. They are very highly pigmented which is great. I really do love how pigmented this palette is, especially for the price, because then a little bit goes a long way, They blend really nice as well so if you do add too much, then it can be blended out nicely. The highlight is also very pigmented so you don't need much of that either to create a glow. I find that the highlighter is beautiful but it is more of a shimmery one but I love that sometimes.
The price of this just makes this even more amazing! It is only £6! That's an absolute bargain. The blushes are so highly pigmented, the shades are very wearable and it's really all you need to do you cheeks to make them look fantastic. I would highly recommend this and it is now a staple in my makeup collection.
