Review- MUA Lip Switch!

By 10:46:00

Hi everyone!

So welcome back! I have a new review for you today and I am so excited about this one. I have been meaning to do a review on these for a long time and I am finally getting round to it!

I am going to be reviewing the MUA Lip Switch's.

As usual, I want to start off by talking about the packaging. I absolutely love the packaging on these! I think that the white tube with the silver writing just looks sleek and simple but really affective. I feel that it makes the colour pop more because the tube is so white.

I love the idea of these. Having a matte lipstick with the matching gloss because it really caters for everyone. For me, I do love a matte lip so to know that I have a matte lipstick in a few different colours so that I can have one that will go with every look I want to do. There are 6 in the collection but I only have 5 because I know that the other one in the collection just wouldn't look good on me as it is a baby pink.

So lets get into the colours....

 Persian Plum

This one is my favourite of the 5 I have because I am obsessed with purple lipsticks and to have this matte formula one is perfect for me. I find that this is the perfect purple, it's not too dark and it's not too light. On the far left, it is the swatch of the lipstick just on its own. It goes on really smoothly for a matte lipstick and it is really opaque. I also found that this lasts a really long time. The first time I wore it, it stayed on for a long time and I did not need to reapply (as I was only out for a few hours) but it stayed on. In the middle we have the lipstick paired with the lip gloss. As you can see, it is a lovely, intense plum colour and on the right we have the gloss on its own. I find that the gloss on it's own is super wearable because it is quite opaque. I personally haven't used the gloss too much because I love matte lipsticks too much but this gloss is beautiful and it could definitely be paired with other lipsticks to add more of an impact.

 Crimson Ruby

So this one is your classic red. I tend to own a lot of reds that are more of a satin finish so it's lovely to have a matte finish one because red started my lipstick addiction. Again, this is opaque and glides on really smoothly. The only difference to this one is that it comes with a clear gloss as opposed to a red gloss like the others that have a matching colour gloss but I like that this has a clear one because it's always useful to have a clear gloss to for any lipsticks. Although, when you put the gloss over a lipstick, like I have done in the middle swatch, it does stain the want and a little bit goes in the gloss but it's not a major bad which would make me hate the product.

Brown Bay

This one is a very natural colour and it is exactly what the name suggests, a brown nude and I think that this would look amazing on so many different skin tones. With me being pale, I find it so difficult to find a nude that I feel looks good on me but this one does because it is a little darker which means you can see it on my lips and it doesn't wash me out. Again, this does glide on smoothly and it is really opaque. Compared to the others, this gloss is shimmery and quite glittery where as the others, except from the fuchsia, are just plain glosses.

Coral Pink

The name of this one is very self explanatory. It is definitely a coral pink colour. I love coral's that are more on the pink side and this one is most definitely on the pink side. I don't often wear corals but this one is beautiful and I find that it is the perfect coral colour. This would look great in summer, with the gloss or without. I can't wait to wear this more because I do tend to go for other lipstick colours but this one is very beautiful.

Hot Fuchsia

This one is super bright. It is a gorgeous fuchsia and again, I don't tend to have fuchsia's that are matte so this is refreshing in my collection. I nearly didn't buy this colour because I had just bought the MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus lipstick which is a similar colour to this (I will be doing a review on that lipstick on my blog) but as the MAC lipstick isn't matte, this is a lovely, and cheaper, alternative for when I want to still wear fuchsia. With this one, the gloss has a slight shimmer but not as noticeable as in the nude. I like that the gloss does have a slight shimmer because it's not just lips caked with glitter, it's very subtle which I love.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, I am absolutely in love with this product! I am so glad I decided to get the other colours and I just love the concept of this because there is not much else out there like this, These are also really great for travelling because they have a great range of staple colours and they have the matching gloss which cuts down the need to pack a lot of different lipsticks and glosses.

These products are also incredibly amazing because the formula is really, really great. They glide on smooth, well as smooth as a matte lipstick can, and they stay put for a really long time. They are really opaque too and because they are matte and last a long time, they are perfect for me and I would 100% recommend these to anyone. These are some of my favourite ever lip products and I am completely in love with these. MUA have definitely made a gem of a product here and if you haven't tried them, I urge you to give them a try because they are absolutely incredible!

Let me know what you think of these! Have you tried them? What are your favourite lip products? Let me know in the comments.

Until next time, happy reading. Bye xx
